This is just a simple Parallel port data output tester using LEDs. Use this so you can test your parallel port interfacing program to see whether your output commands are sent or not.

It's pretty much straight-forward. Toggle the buttons to assign the values for the corresponding Data output line (parallel port pins 2-8). Click on Send to send the values. Toggle the Knight Rider button to display a typical Knight Rider style flasher light effect. The speed is determined by the horizontal slider (1-1000 millisecond delay).

Download my Parallel port LED tester here. I'll update this when I do some changes, bug fixes or extra features. One thing though, this is a Win9X version only. NT-based systems use a different module to be able to access the parallel port. So unless a good number of people ask for it, I'll just have a Win9x version.

Installation

The zip file contains the Setup files for the LEDtest. Just run Setup.exe and install it like any other program. This includes the VB runtime files used. I will prepare a pack without the runtime files to keep the pack at a small size since some of us already have the runtime files installed.
